Zack Arnett, the Northern California-bred musician/producer/writer/visual artist and founder of the eclectic, alternative project SUR set forth on a road trip, building a makeshift studio in the back of an RV and ventured out to create the soundtrack to his life. SUR’s diverse sound is inspired by the natural beauty of California’s coast, forests and deserts, fusing inventive alternative, electronic, pop and rock elements, a hip-hop spirit and a dash of desert-dusted mysticism which can be heard on debut EP SAVAGE BEAST featuring alt/anthems “LEAN BACK” and “MAKE IT TO MORNING”, follow up single “ONLY ROAD” with its church choir feel meets hip-hop bounce to this past summer’s playful sonic-trip “VISIONS”.

Never one to be pigeonholed into a genre, Arnett spent much of 2020 writing and producing the forthcoming album LOST DAYZ. The set showcases SUR’S genre-hoping skills and is packed with soulfully, alternative moments with just the right touch of hip-hop, pop and rock. First single “STRANGE” just released and rides along with its infections groove, laid back, smoky vocals and lyrics celebrating your inner weirdo. Additional music will follow leading into the May release of LOST DAYZ. SUR’s music can be heard on an extensive list of TV shows, films, commercials and games and when Arnett is not working on his artist project, you can find him in the studio writing and producing for a wide-ranging list of creatives.
