Keith Slettedahl is an American songwriter/musician from Los Angeles, CA. As one of the founding members and lead singer of the pop rock band The 88, Keith’s songs have garnered fans for their infections catchiness tempered with rough edges and complex phrasing, all anchored by his distinct vocals.

With songs that evoke vivid imagery, the music lends itself to placement in films, commercials and popular TV shows; most notably the song “At Least It Was Here” which was used as the opening theme for Community. In 2011, the band co-scored the film Friends With Kids. From 2010-2012, Slettedahl and his 88 bandmates toured and recorded with legendary Kinks front man Ray Davies. Other notable collaborations include Elliott Smith, Elvis Costello, Black Francis, The Zombies, The Flaming Lips, The Smashing Pumpkins and The B-52’s. Since The 88 disbanded, Keith has released a solo EP called The First Time as well as a side project called Big Sky Blue with producer and Posies drummer Frankie Siragusa.
